What should I wear when on a cycling day trip or Waterfront Trail ride?

Check the weather and dress for the season. We recommend you dress as you would if you were going for a walk in the park. Comfortable shorts and T shirts, running shoes or walking sandals (with straps to hold onto your feet) work well through the summer. For spring and fall cycling, be sure to dress seasonally. We recommend to dress in layers and remove or add as required. Also, remember your sunscreen and hat if you wish.

Are bicycle helmets mandatory?

Helmets are mandatory in Ontario for everybody under 18 years of age. All riders under 18 must wear an approved helmet.

We include helmets for free with all bike rentals and strongly recommend that everybody wears them.
